Stone Foundations, Limestone, and the Historic District

Your report's grading and drainage notes — negative slope toward the house, short or disconnected downspouts, window wells without covers — are not nitpicks. In this soil, water management is the single biggest factor in long-term basement health, and most of the fixes are inexpensive grading and gutter corrections rather than structural work.

Ice Dams, Roofs, and Cold-Climate Wear

South-central Minnesota winters write themselves into Faribault roofs.
