The Cathedral Area (around Second Avenue NW)

The neighborhood around the Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour, near Second Avenue NW, is one of Faribault's most recognizable older residential areas. Built up around one of the city's landmark churches, it offers classic late-1800s and early-1900s homes within walking distance of downtown.

Homes in this part of Faribault tend to date from the city's growth decades around the turn of the twentieth century, with a scattering of later additions.
